Nourishing Postpartum with Doula Support
Beyond her love of food, Leah Rose is also dedicated to supporting families in the childbearing year. Nourish itself was created and inspired by this very time in life! Leah Rose has been trained both as a birth and postpartum doula, though she is primarily focused on postpartum work at this time.
Postpartum doulas provide non-judgmental support to families with new babies. The support is often emotional and/or practical, depending on the family's needs. Tasks can include: help with household chores, older siblings, breastfeeding and/or supplemental feeding, baby care, and meal prep. Postpartum doulas can provide referrals for any services beyond their scope.
Nourish can support new families in a number of ways... Nourish can...
…Be on call and ready to deliver your first postpartum meal (preplanned or spontaneous) after you’ve delivered!
…Keep your refrigerator stocked with delicious homemade snacks and dinners to sustain you through pregnancy and labor!
…Deliver meals throughout the postpartum period and help organize family and friend meal planning.
…Keep a cooler stocked if you spend any extended period of time in the hospital and want more sustaining and nutritious food.
